Overview

Public Service Directive Act of 2014 dated 17th  April 2014 introduced a special housing scheme based on the Self Help Housing Agency (SHHA) scheme for public service employees of Grade D4 and below as a benefit. This was aimed at promoting home ownership among public officers up to D4 level who cannot access housing from the open market.

Who is eligible?

Citizen Public officers of D4 salary scale and below

How do I get this service?

Applications can be lodged with all District Council Offices, Government Ministries and Departments across the country.

What supporting documents are required?
  • Completed application form.
  • Certified copy of prove of ownership/ title (Tittle Deed/ Certificate of Rights/ Fixed Period State Grant)
  • Certified copy of current advice slip.
  • Certified copy of valid national identity card (Omang).
  • Certified Marriage Certificate if married.
  • Confirmation of Employment letter.

 

How long will this service take?

Applicants will be funded on a first come first serve basis. Further, assistance under this scheme is subject to availability of funds or annual budgetary provision.
