Overview
This is the professional diagnosis of special educational needs of learners referred by their teachers.
Who is eligible?
Any student from pre-primary to senior secondary school with a suspected learning disability.
How do I get this service?
- The teacher refers the child for diagnostic screening at the Regional Education Office.
- Where necessary the child will be referred to an Educational Psychologist for professional assessment.
- The Educational Psychologist will provide feedback in the form of a written report to the school and the parent/guardian.
NB: Parental input/participation may be called for at any time during the process.

- Most recent academic report
- School referral report
How long will this service take?
Time taken is dependent upon the complexity of each case.
