Overview

It is a Court of Law and Equity, created by Section 14 of the Trade Disputes Act No.6 of 2016. The Court has exclusive jurisdiction in all labour disputes and ranks equal to the High Court in its status and power. Its judgments are appealable to the Court of Appeal.

The Court has three divisions in Gaborone, Francistown and Maun.  There are also Circuits Courts held around the country for ease of accessibility to Court services.  

Mission -To promote the rule of law by providing effective and efficient labour justice in an accessible manner to achieve a robust and relevant system of labour dispute resolution.

Vision - Equal access to justice for the protection of labour rights and promotion of industrial peace.
